You left me Torn

You always had different ways to tell me ‘I Love You’ in front of my parents.

You always used to found the third way to give me those tingling pecks, when my mumma was not looking.

How everything changed so much?

Wen all this came to an end?

I just want to dream again,

Like the good old times before the storm.

But I know it will never be same,

Because the day you walked away you left me torn.

Just my Luck!

I was cautious

I looked left and then I turned right

And there you were

The glitter in your eyes calling my name.

You spread your arms

And I ran to my only hope

I fell into your arms

As I take in your scent

And my fire start to burn.

I wanted to speak

I tried to speak

But your soft lips moving in sync with mine

Didn’t let me.

It wasn’t fierce

It wasn’t wild

You took your free hand down,

And further

Making me moan.

This time,

It was wild,

It was passionate,

I woke up from my dream.

You left me in bed

with nothing but tears.

But now the well has dried

and I am stronger.

I know it makes you sad

that I’m happy now

and my eyes are searching no more for you.

I hope you do realise that

Souls with wings were made to fly.

Book Review: Me and Earl and The Dying Girl

Name – Me and Earl and The Dying Girl

Author – Jesse Andrews

This book can be emotional roller coaster ride. Sometimes funny and sometimes profoundly sad.

“The best ideas are always the simplest”

The story revolves around Greg, Earl and Rachel; but mostly around Greg and Rachel. Rachel, daughter of Denise is diagnosed with Leukemia. Denise is friend with Greg’s mother. So Greg’s mother ask him to take care of the dying girl. She didn’t ask but she forced him.
“One thing I’ve learned about people is that the easiest way to get them to like you is to shut up and let them do the talking”

The characters are beautifully written. And yes, this book is not everybody’s cup of tea but for those who’ll give it their whole heart.
“There was just something about her dying that I had understood but not really understood, if you know what I mean. I mean, you can know someone is dying on an intellectual level, but emotionally it hasn’t really hit you, and then when it does, that’s when you feel like shit”

Book Review : Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson

Name – Steve Jobs

Author – Walter Isaacson

This is the complete biography of the one and only Steve Jobs. Walter Isaacson has neatly summarized his early life, covering about his biological parents, biological sister, adoptive parents and his step-sister. There is a lot of detail about what he did and where he went.

Steve always believed that he was different from others. He always let art flow with technology. For him a person was either a Hero or a Bozo and a product was either Amazing or Shit.

“If you just sit and observe, you will see              how restless your mind is. If you try to              calm it, it only makes it worse, but over              time it does calm, and when it does,                    there’s room to hear more subtle                        things – that’s when your intuition                        starts to blossom and you start to see                things more clearly and be in the                        present more. Your mind just slows                    down, and you see a tremendous                        expanse in the moment. You see so                    much more than you could see before.              It’s a discipline; you have to practice it”

Steve had the power to convince anyone about anything when he was in room. But when he leave realization would hit his colleagues and they would be like What? What he just said? How can that be even possible? This was his Reality Distortion Field.
I couldn’t help but cry reading the last pages of his life. The last time he visited Apple was on wheelchair.

His last words were “Oh wow, Oh wow, Oh wow”

“I think different religions are different               doors to the same house. Sometimes I             think the house exists, and sometimes I             don’t. It’s the great mystery”

I recommend this book if you are interested in Technology + Arts. We get to learn many things from this book. I appreciate the work of Isaac. It’s a memorable biography.
“The people who are crazy enough

to think they can change

the world are the ones who do”

                -Apple’s “Think Different” campaign, 1997.

After six months he asked me “how I’m doing” I replied “fine” turning quickly the pages to hide the poetry my tears have written.
